Next year marks the 20th anniversary of the publication of PlaNYC: A Greener, Greater New York. The Climate School’s Research Program on Sustainability Policy and Management (SPM), directed by Prof. Cohen, and other co-sponsors are planning to organize a conference exploring the plan’s evolution, implementation, and long-term impact. In conjunction with the event, we’ll be publishing an edited book to mark this occasion. SPM is currently seeking proposals for chapters and/or panel topics, which can be submitted through the call for expressions of interest by June 1, 2025.
Submissions are welcome from individuals both within and outside Columbia University—including researchers, policymakers, historians, and professionals from academia, non-profits, think tanks, and related sectors. Please help us spread this call within your circles.
