SPM's Christoph Meinrenken Appointed to the GHG Protocol Scope 3 Technical Working Group

The Research Program on Sustainability Policy and Management would like to congratulate Dr. Christoph Meinrenken for being selected to the GHG Protocol Scope 3 Technical Working Group, following a long career of innovative research on carbon footprinting. 

Dr. Christoph Meinrenken, Associate Director of the Research Program on Sustainability Policy and Management, was recently selected to join the GHG Protocol Scope 3 Technical Group. Through this group, he will be supporting the process to revise and update GHG Protocol’s Scope 3 Standard. 

Dr. Meinrenken was a member of original research team between Earth Institute and PepsiCo that led to the publication of the first ever Carbon Trust certified product carbon footprint in the United States in the early 2000's. He contributed to the WRI's and WBCSD's original product GHG protocol in 2011, following his participation in its pilot testing. Alongside his work as a Professor of Practice and at SPM, Dr. Meinrenken is the Academic Director of the M.S. Information & Knowledge Strategy (IKNS) program at the School of Professional Studies.
